Tokyo's busy streets are filled with constant motion as pedestrians rush past, hardly pausing to take in their surroundings. For Jinny Street Gallery, capturing attention amidst this urban cacophony constitutes a significant challenge—research for a curious and captivating art piece compelling enough to halt passersby in their tracks and ignite a reaction.
This is the focus of our open call exhibition: The perfect photographic submission we are looking for offers a detail that seizes the gaze of onlookers. This element evokes a visceral response and offers a visual input to capture the sleeping mind of the passersby. This exhibition aims to turn each case at Jinny Street Gallery into a beacon of light amidst the chaos, a sanctuary of contemplation for the busy inhabitants of Tokyo.
Submissions Are Closed
The submission cost is approximately $20 (3000 JPY) for a single and approximately $35 (5000 JPY) for a series. The cost covers curation, printing, and exhibition costs.
Selected photographers will receive a printed catalog of the exhibition.
Not selected submissions will still be entitled to a 20% discount on the catalog purchase.
